[ENGLISH BELOW]
– Qué cosas me hacen bien y qué cosas no, dónde debo poner límites rápido.
Quiero gente auténtica a mi lado.

Some years ago I said to myself I wanted to try to take it easier in my daily life. We are living in a very fast-paced world, and therefore I think that being able to keep calm is now kind of a revolutionary act. As a society we reward those who excel at productivity and multitasking. Conversely, once we are at home we need to make use of apps to chill to lower the mind pace or take pills to sleep tight.
Because of this speed I am talking about, and the variety -and freedom- of options we have now, we are creating and becoming a more impatient generation, a conflict-avoidant generation. Vanishing into dust without giving any explanation and getting rid of someone has never been so easy. This was coined a couple of years ago as ghosting. In my view, we tend to avoid having some conversations in an attempt to avoid conflict, but conflict is a normal and inherent part of any relationship. But running away is easier than fixing and sincerity is scary.
Funny and sad how despite that we are living in a hyperconnected era, it is extremely difficult to connect with others.
Let’s argue together, let’s cry together, so that we can later have fun and smile together again. This will help to connect with the other.
This year I am wishing for more of this calm, serenity and patience, so that I can see:
– The things that make me some good, and things that don’t, where I should set limits faster, what deserves reparation and what I can leave behind, even though it hurts.
– What I want in my life and what I don’t. Do I want to spend more time with the people I love? With the things I love investing time in? Do I really need X money to be happy?
Life is beautiful and I am really grateful for everything I have / am / live now.But life is also a bitch sometimes. And we just can’t look at the bright side everyday. And there is nothing wrong with it. It is just as it is.
I am fed up with this fake positivism we see on social networks. I just want people who are real by my side. And of course I also commit to being real! Everybody has bad days, where the sun does not seem to shine and everything is covered by darkness. But if shared, darkness is not as terrifying.
And when it comes to sharing… I guess I cannot feel more grateful right now.
For having so many beautiful people by my side that make me feel loved and valued.
I lost track of the amount of times I celebrated my 28th birthday these last days.
Thanks for such a special weekend!
I would not trade these moments for anything in the world.
